My Story

I am a mother, I am a virtual assistant, I am a wife, I am a homemaker, I am a daughter, I am a friend.  By far the most challenging of all is being mum to a wonderful little boy with significant development delays.  The role all consuming, but it is teaching me so much, the biggest thing of all – patience.

purchase Lyrica canada In an exciting progression in my freelance career I have penned my first book, a personal story of my parenting journey as a first-time mum.  Writing a book was always on my bucket list, and soon enough, when my son George was born, A Lesson in Patience soon followed. George was the catalyst, inspiring my book dream to become a reality.  A background in creative writing was helpful in preparing me for writing this story, but George provided purpose and the content, about managing and overcoming unexpected challenges in the early years of parenthood.

My ability to be persistent and stubborn in passionately pursuing goals has taught me, through experience, that even the really difficult setbacks can become triumphs.  I look forward to sharing my story with you very soon.

A Lesson in Patience is an honest, informative and personal story about parenting a child with significant developmental delays.

As a first-time mother, Loretta Wellard shares her experiences to bring awareness, knowledge and understanding, in a memoir about raising her beautiful boy who is not quite reaching some of those magnificent milestones… yet.
